We will pick you up at Coco Bongo and start the journey towards Tulum.

Tulum is the only place where you can find beachfront Mayan ruins. It was one of the last cities inhabited and built by the ancient Maya, and it even managed to survive for another 70 years after the Spanish occupied Mexico. Due to its location on the Caribbean Coast, cliffs used to be a substantial commercial and political centre.

Today it is one of the most famous Mayan sites to visit, certainly also because of its magnificent white-sandy beaches with the sublimely turquoise waters, rivalling the best of the Caribbean.

After a guided visit to the archaeological site, you have free time to enjoy the zone including free time to discover the area on your own. Then we will continue to the cenote Yax-Kin.

The cenote is few kilometres away from Tulum Archeological Zone and are immersed in the Mayan Jungle. Crystal clear waters and beautiful caverns are ideal for a refreshing natural swim.

The cenotes were sacred places for the Maya Civilization. Today, they are one of the main attractions to visit in Riviera Maya and are part of the most extensive underground river system globally. Also, it has some of the most extensive caves ever explored.

After refreshing yourself with a swim at this natural sinkhole, we will continue to your Hotel or Meeting Point.

David was a great host! Very thoughtful organization and good presentation of information. It was a hot and sticky day (for us!) and so it was just the right length. Good transport and great information - I’m so glad we did this tour versus a more commercial tour. Thank you David!

This tour was amazing! The ruins are right beside the ocean, with incredible views, which made this tour extra special. David is extremely knowledgeable and explained the history of Tulum and the Mayan culture very well. I was impressed at how well he was able to answer everyone’s questions. He took such good care of everyone on the tour, and made sure to stop in nice shaded areas along the way. He also provided complimentary water and bananas, and checked-in regularly to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. It was also nice to meet in a central location and drive directly to Tulum, without having to waste time picking people up which many other tours do. This gave us more time to enjoy our trip and some free time. If you are a history lover and want top-notch service, this tour is for you!

Absolutely fantastic tour with David! He is such a knowledgeable, friendly and kind person, that I really enjoyed every second of our time together. As a history lover, I was so excited to hear all of the stories and little facts that David shared about the Maya people and their unique history. We were able to skip the line at the entrance and the whole trip, including the car ride, was very well organized. I felt super comfortable during the whole time (David also provided snacks, bananas and cold drinks). I learned so much and enjoyed the time in Tulum. Warmly recommended!

David is truly a dynamic tour guide and is very knowledgeable about the Mayan civilization. My family and I do enjoy having a private tour guide who knows his facts and can share the truth when we travel. You will not be disappointed with having David explain all of the fascinating structures on the Tulum Ruins and he is very thoughtful and checks in with you often to make certain you are comfortable as it can get very Hot- he brings extra water and umbrellas to make walking in the heat more bareable. He does have many years of experience and super friendly so enjoy your time with him. The earliest you the place opens is at 8am so you would want to suggest a pick of time as early as possible to help with the heat and the heavy crowds.
